The Triad Middle School Student Council would like to help send 500,000 new/used CDs, DVDs and books on CD for the troops by Christmas 2008.

The Lions Quest program saw its first year, the pilot year, at the San Pedro Roman Catholic School as well as the San Pedro High School. What was supposed to be a test run, proved to be welcomed and accepted program by both students and teachers.

As Nye County students know all too well, the lazy, carefree days of summer vacation have nearly slipped past, and soon it'll be time to get dragged to the store to shop for school supplies.

Dear freshmen, Welcome to the U. I used to be you. I walked around campus with a look of bewilderment. I read the newspaper in the coliseum that was Art History (merely a speck in a classroom of 300), sent text messages to other humans in "Does ET Exist?" (it sounded so easy!) and slept peacefully through Structure of English (isn't that a 5000-level class?).
